Registration Opens for the 2025 Wirral Kayak Challenge 🌊🚣♂️

The countdown has begun for one of the Wirral’s most anticipated community events — the 2025 Wirral Kayak Challenge (WKC). This year’s event promises another unforgettable experience on the water, bringing together kayakers and experienced paddleboarders in support of some truly life-changing local charities.

📍 Registration Information

Registration opens Thursday 24th April 2025 and will run every Thursday evening up to and including 26th June, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Registration takes place upstairs at The Railway Pub, Meols, CH47 6AB.
The fee is £40 per person, payable upon registration.

Please note: This is an organised event. Participation is only permitted for those who have registered during the official registration period.

🗓 Event Day: Sunday 6th July 2025

Paddlers will take to the water on Sunday 6th July 2025 for the main event. The Wirral Kayak Challenge welcomes kayakers and experienced paddleboarders, offering a unique opportunity to take part in a meaningful and exciting challenge along the coast.

💛 Supporting Local Causes

The Wirral Kayak Challenge has always been about more than just the water. It’s a celebration of community, purpose, and giving back. This year, all proceeds will support a group of outstanding local charities:

• 🛟 RNLI – Supporting lifeboat stations in West Kirby, Hoylake, and New Brighton

• 🧒 Stick 'n' Step – Supporting children with cerebral palsy

• 🌿 The Holistic Cancer Centre – Offering complementary therapies to those undergoing cancer treatment

• 🏞️ Barnstondale Outdoor Activity Centre – Providing inclusive outdoor experiences for children of all abilities

These charities provide vital support to communities across the Wirral and beyond, and the funds raised from WKC will help them continue their incredible work.
