Nurturing Young Imaginations: Year 1 Family Art Sessions in Crosby
Share
For families in Crosby with little ones in Year 1 (ages 5–6), a brand-new creative opportunity is now available to help children flourish through the power of art. Led by experienced educator Emma Coyne, these Family Art Sessions offer a unique space where imagination, play, and connection come to life in the most joyful and colourful ways.
Emma, a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience, has crafted these monthly Sunday sessions to inspire and engage young artists and their grown-ups alike. Held in her peaceful home art studio in Crosby, each 1-hour session is designed with the developmental needs and creative curiosity of younger children in mind.
What sets these sessions apart is the focus on mark making – the foundation of all artistic exploration. Whether through sculpture, printing, or gloriously messy materials, children are encouraged to experiment, discover, and express themselves freely. Some sessions may even include Beach School-inspired activities right on Crosby beach, depending on the weather, adding a wonderful sense of adventure to the experience.
The sessions maintain an intimate feel, with small group sizes of up to three families, or the option for private family bookings. This ensures a calm, welcoming environment where both children and adults can connect meaningfully through shared creativity. It’s more than just an art class – it’s a chance to build confidence, nurture imagination, and make magical memories together.
