New Creative Community for Mums in Liverpool: Babes in Arms Launches this June

When Amy, a creative and mum based in South Liverpool, first had her daughter, she longed for live events and artistic expression—but found the reality of navigating that space with a newborn overwhelming. Now, she’s turning that feeling into a force for change with the launch of Babes in Arms—a new initiative designed to support mums through creativity and connection.

Starting this June, Babes in Arms will host a series of journaling workshops in central Liverpool. These are gentle, welcoming spaces where mums (and their babies or children!) can reflect, write, chat, and get back in touch with their creative selves.

The workshops are:

  • ✍️ Run by mothers, for mothers

  • 👶 Baby and child-friendly

  • 💬 Focused on connection and emotional wellbeing through journaling and creativity

Amy hopes this is just the beginning—with plans to grow the project into live gigs and larger creative events as the community blossoms.
