After School Club Makes a Splash: Primal Anglers Afternoon Club

Young people aged 8 to 14 are being invited to discover the joys of fishing, nature, and mindfulness with the the Primal Anglers Afternoon Club, Every Wednesday at Mill Dam. This unique after-school experience runs from 4:30PM to 6:00PM, with limited places available and a small fee of just £3 per child.

In partnership with Friends of Milfarm (“Milly”), this weekly club goes far beyond rod and reel. It’s about reconnecting with the outdoors, learning valuable life skills, and gaining confidence in a supportive, fun-filled environment. The sessions include:

🎣 Rod Setup, Casting Techniques & Bait Selection
🌱 Fish Safety & Habitat Improvement
🏆 Skill-Building Challenges
🧘♂️ Mindfulness & Resilience Workshops

The Primal Angling Club is committed to fostering a sense of community, conservation, and mental well-being. It’s not just for beginners—experienced young anglers will also find opportunities to expand their skills while taking part in community fishing events, conservation projects, and mental wellness activities.
